Ability of a Lock

Shiny, strong and hard or perhaps a few determined words
I guess the various forms don't really matter
Pleased, indifferent or unhappy with the arrangement
Really isn't in your control, unless you hold the particular key
A door, a box, a diary, a marriage
Bound by a lock, separated by curiosity

    This poem seems a bit vague to me...there is no specific focus, no specific imagery or purpose other than it being about a lock. I think this one still needs a lot of editing.
